💡 Understanding GST Calculation
GST (Goods and Services Tax) is levied at 4 main rates: 5% (essential items), 12% (standard goods), 18% (most services), and 28% (luxury/sin goods). The tax is split into CGST + SGST for intra-state supply, or IGST for inter-state.
When calculating GST, the mode matters: 'Exclusive' adds GST on top of the base price, while 'Inclusive' means GST is already included in the price — the calculator extracts the base amount and GST component.
